About us

AMIT BEHERA FOUNDATION was born from the vision of Amit Behera and a team of changemakers committed to bridging societal gaps. What began as a mission to empower youth and preserve culture, now extends into a broader goal—protecting our environment.

Our newly added vertical focuses on combating oil pollution using innovative absorbent products that support sustainable cleanup solutions.

Oil contamination is a silent but deadly environmental threat affecting soil, water bodies, and human health. Our foundation is leading a green initiative to design oil-only absorbent products including:

These products are made from recycled materials and designed to selectively absorb oil without soaking up water. Perfect for use in industries, refineries, ETPs, workshops, and contaminated lands.

2023

Feb 23: Observed Amit Behera’s birthday at the Amit Behera Auditorium with a Baripada Chau folk dance program by Baripada Chau Academy.

Oct 1: Oripol Industries Ltd. marked Amit Behera Smruti Divas with a health camp (120+ beneficiaries) and a blood donation drive (30+ units donated).

2024

Feb 23: Celebrated Amit Behera’s birthday at NOCCI with a Hindustani instrumental music program (Santoor focus) featuring local Balasore artists.

Aug 15: Conducted a “Safe Drinking Water” awareness session and donated a water purifier to Shree Aurobindo Purnanga Sikhya Kendra, Remuna.

Oct 1: Oripol Industries Ltd. commemorated Amit Behera Smruti Divas with a health & eye check-up camp (in collaboration with LV Prasad) for 120+ people and a blood donation drive (20+ units collected).
